Round 4 - Townsville - July 9 - 11

Daily Updates from Townsville:

Saturday 10th July 2010: Ben qualifies 13th fastest in this mornings qualifying session.
In Race 1 Ben managed to move up to 9th place, but due to a safety car and a damaged rear tyre valve, Ben was unable to retain his position, struggling with the deflating rear tyre, getting passed on the last lap to finish 11th.
The valve has been replaced, and the team are looking forward to Races 2 and 3 tomorrow

 

Friday 9th July 2010: Ben finishes 11th fastest in the first practice session. The team is very happy with this, as this is their first time at Townsville with their own car.
In the 2nd Practice session Ben was only able to complete 6 laps before one of the Header pipes broke, melting the power steering hose, causing the alternator to fail.
The car is now repaired; Ben and the team are now looking forward to tomorrow mornings qualifying session.
